‘Cafe 80 Catering & Events’ refers to The Trustee for the Zaf Family Trust trading as Cafe 80, ABN 15 398 932 976

‘The Client’ refers to the customer booking any catering services with Cafe 80 Catering & Events

‘We, ours, us, etc.’ means Cafe 80 Catering & Events

‘You, yours, etc.’ means The Client

 

These Terms and Conditions may be amended by us at any time by updating them on our website. You should review these Terms and Conditions each time you access our website. By continuing to use and access our website you agree to be bound by the amended Terms and Conditions.

 

Function Staff

Cafe 80 Catering & Events RSA function staff are available for booking for a minimum of three hours, as per industry standard. Current rates will be quoted at the time of booking, and are subject to change A Saturday and Sunday surcharge rate will apply. Bookings that require staff must be confirmed 7 days prior to the date of the event.

 

Equipment

Cafe 80 Catering & Events can arrange any extra equipment you require for your event. Hire of equipment included is itemised in the quote, and includes a delivery and pick up charge. Any damage to or loss of hire equipment caused by the client, client’s guests, venues or venues employees will be charged to the client and invoiced after the event.

 

Prices

All prices quoted are inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change dependent on market prices.

 

Deposit and Payments

Clients with credit accounts will be invoiced with Net 21 payment terms.    

For new customers, payment is required once the order has been confirmed, and prior to the date of delivery. We accept payment by most credit cards, including Mastercard, AMEX  and Visa (credit card surcharges apply). A payment link is available on the website or our bank account details are located on each invoice for payment by direct transfer.

All quotes are subject to availability at the time of booking and some events will attract a 50% deposit to secure the event date. No event is considered confirmed until deposit has been received if requested. The balance will be payable upon confirmation of numbers 7 working days prior to the function and full payment of the function is required prior to the event date, unless other arrangements have been made previously. Any additional charges will be invoiced after the event.

 

Confirmation of Details

Menus, final numbers, dietary requirements and staff for events and functions are to be confirmed 7 days prior to events of 50 people or more, and 3 days for events with less than 50 people. No fee reduction can be offered for no-shows of confirmed numbers.

Delivery only orders must be confirmed 48 hours prior to delivery. Payment is required prior to or on the day of delivery.

 

Dietary Requirements

Cafe 80 Catering & Events staff and suppliers prepare all food in accordance with the Food Standards set by Food Standards Australia.

The Cafe 80 Catering & Catering & Events kitchen and equipment used within may contain traces of nuts, egg, dairy, gluten and other know allergens. Although all care is taken by Cafe 80 Catering & Events to ensure these items are contained, we cannot guarantee that all dietary requirements will be met. Whilst we understand the serious implications of reactions to allergens and will endeavour not to cross contaminate your food, Cafe 80 Catering & Events will not accept responsibility or liability for an adverse reaction to our any of our food by any guest. Please inform any of your guests who have serious food allergies that if they are concerned that they will be able to bring their own allergen free food in some circumstances. Please check with your booking representative upon booking and they will inform the function staff of this arrangement.

 

Cancellations

Staffed events that are cancelled less than 48 hours prior to the event will incur a fee of 50% of the final invoice. Delivery only bookings that are cancelled with less than 24 working days notice may incur up to 100% fee, depending on the notice given.

 

Damage & Lost Equipment

It is acknowledged that accidents can happen and items may get lost, dropped or damaged. In such instances, any equipment that is not returned, lost or damaged will be added to your invoice as a charge.

 

Quotes

Your event proposal or quote is valid for 48 hours from receipt.

 

Quality Control

Cafe 80 Catering & Events does not part cater any event, including the serving of cakes, desserts, BYO food of any nature without prior consent. This practice contravenes our Food Safety program. Please mention to your Cafe 80 Catering & Events booking representative during the initial quote stages if you plan to supply any foods from home or relative or registered food business. Images on our website and marketing material are styled for presentation purposes, and may not be indicative of the presentation of particular items ordered by the Client. Menus are subject to change according to seasonal and supplier availability. We do endeavour to alert clients to any changes, however, this is not always possible and in some instances some products may be substituted for similar quality ingredients.

 

Ordering Cut Off Times

Website orders must be received by 3pm, the day prior to the day delivery is required.

For larger events, please ensure sufficient notice is given. Weeks or months as necessary.

 

Responsible Service of Alcohol

In accordance with the Liquor Act 2007 NSW, Cafe 80 Catering & Events staff will hold an RSA and reserve the right to refuse to serve alcohol to guests under the age of 18 and guests who are intoxicated.

If a Temporary Liquor Licence application is required, fees will be directly charged to the Client whether the application is successful or not.

In certain situations including functions held in public areas such as Parks and Gardens council regulations will require the alcohol service area to be fenced off from the general public. In this instance the cost of said fencing will be charged directly to the client, including the delivery and set up charges associated with it.

 

Delivery

Delivery is available 5 days a week between 7am and 9pm on weekdays and by arrangement on weekends.

Delivery is free on weekdays for corporate catering within a 2km radius of the UTS Campus in Ultimo.

A delivery fee may apply based on locations further than 5 kilometres from the Cafe 80 Catering & Events kitchen in Ultimo.

Please ensure delivery access is always available to your location. If a mobile phone number is provided for contact, please ensure that mobile phone is switched on. If access is not available at agreed time of delivery, the driver may have to return at a later time resulting in an additional delivery fee, or the delivery may be cancelled at the discretion of Cafe 80 Catering & Events. Payment of the invoice will still be required.


Weekend Events

A minimum spend is required for Saturday or Sunday events, and will be discussed on a case-by-case basis. As a guide, $2000ex GST for Saturday and $5000ex GST for Sunday. A weekend surcharge will also apply. 10% for Saturday events, and 20% for Sunday events. The minimum spend is inclusive of the surcharge. ($5000 ex inclusive of the surcharge is the minimum, not $5000 plus the surcharge.)

Onsite Bar Service at Cafe 80: Café 80 Exclusive Bar Experience

  • Minimum Spend: $500
  • Guest Capacity: Customized to fit your guest count
  • Inclusions: An array of house drinks including soft drinks, beer, wine, prosecco, and house spirits. Exclusive use of Cafe 80 outside normal operating hours for a private atmosphere on Mondays or Tuesdays. A private roped area is available during normal operating hours. Professional staffing is provided for smooth service. Optional inclusion of food within the budget from our catering menus.

Offsite Bar Service: Café 80 Mobile Bar Elegance

  • Minimum Spend: $720 for up to 40 people (equates to $18 per person)
  • Guest Capacity: Designed for up to 40 people
  • Inclusions: Selection of beverages including soft drinks, wine, beer, and prosecco. Professional bar setup and breakdown service. One staff member to manage the bar and serve guests. This package is exclusively for drinks; food can be added from our catering options such as Finger Food selections, Buffet packages, or Platter assortments.
  • Note: This is a minimum spend package; additional requirements exceeding the budget will be charged accordingly.
